Industrial Designer
Looking for a creative Industrial Designer to elevate our product design in unique ways. As a member of the Product Development team, you will work alongside talented designers and often collaborate with the company President. This role requires a passion for style and creative concepting in the power sports market. You will be responsible for stretching the imagination of what our products can be and turning them into highly sought-after gear for water sport users.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively articulate your design rationale both visually and orally.

Evolve with global style, material, and aesthetics of product lines while maintaining a creative product that follows and evolves the overall brand direction and culture.

Keep up to date on industry trends, lifestyle, culture, identity, growth, demographics, and changing regulations affecting power sport segments and market activity.

Work closely with project leads, engineers, and designers from initial concept to execution and refinement.

Maintain a high attention to detail.

Utilize premium CMFs to enhance the product, based on current and emerging technologies.

Find new ways to connect front-end trends with back-end manufacturing processes.

Follow the design process to refine concepts that will help in manufacturing.

Sketch and render to quickly concept and ideate.

Utilize CAD, Corel Draw, and other platforms to bring designs to life.

Consistently innovate and pitch new ways of creating impactful work.

Possess a passion for bringing creativity to life with a high level of polish is required.

Strong sensibility for art direction and design with an elevated level of taste.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have an online portfolio to apply

Bachelors or related degree from a 4 year accredited University preferred. BA in Industrial design and minor in graphics.

Candidates must have 3-5 years experience in product development / design, preferably inside of power sports, surf & skate, board sport, kite surfing, wakeboarding, etc.

Thrive in fast paced and creative environments.

Must have general awareness of the retail market, pricing, and perceived value.

Must be a motivated self-starter.

Must be able to work both autonomously and in a team setting.

A strong proficiency in 3D Modeling, Corel Draw, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong artistic skills, including sketching capabilities.

Strong understanding of rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes

Ability to communicate with top management, clients, team members, overseas factories, foreign clients, and local consumers.

Must possess an obsession for detail, quality, consumer-centric, commercial design mentality that brings the best in quality, innovative, producible, scalable, and cost effective product to the consumer's hands.
