Jettribe is proud to announce we are returning as the Official Gear Sponsor for the 3rd consecutive year at this week's rescheduled 2020 Thai Airways Jet Ski World Cup in Pattaya, Thailand. Pro Racers from all over the world will compete April 21 - 25 for their share of the over $400,000 in prize money.  The riders are so committed they have been quarantined for over 2 weeks, and now they are ready to battle it out on the water!  We are proud to be a sponsor for such a prestigious event. Good luck to all riders this week!

We are also returning as the Official Gear Sponsor for all 3 Rounds of the 2021 Jet Ski World Series. The 3-event series will name a “Triple Crown” winner for each Pro Level racing class from the July Jettribe European Championship in Poland, the October 40th Anniversary Lake Havasu World Finals, and the December Thai Airways Jet Ski World Cup in Thailand.

This event holds a special place in our heart.  Jettribe first started traveling to Thailand over a decade ago. Jettribe’s goal each year is to create opportunities for our sponsored riders to travel and compete in new venues. Recent years have seen riders travel to China, Malaysia, Hungary, Belgium, Indonesia, South Korea, and probably most famous, the Thailand King’s Cup (now known as the World Cup).

Every year a small group of staff members and elite riders are invited to Thailand to experience the race firsthand, and dive into the local culture in the beautiful resort city of Pattaya City, Thailand. From eating delicious Shrimp Pad Thai at a beachside restaurant, to taking the “Baht Bus” to the local night market, there is so much to be experienced at this international gathering of PWC athletes. Jettribe started as a small booth with beach apparel. Now on our 25th anniversary, we are humbled that the gear we design and obsess over gets to be displayed so prominently to the international crowd.

When racers travel to international events, they learn how to not only compete on unfamiliar water, but also how to support themselves and their team in a foriegn land. They have to learn the best ways to move their equipment and tools from the host hotel to the pits. Learn exchange rates, and which metal shops to use to fix broken parts. The ultimate skill is learning how to balance a fuel jug on your lap while pulling your ski with a scooter. These are skills that cannot be taught, they must be experienced.

Building and maintaining relationships is an important part of our philosophy. This community is global, and in these Covid-times, we appreciate even more the opportunities we get to see our international friends face-to-face. At the race site when it is down to the wire and you need a part fixed quickly, we see first hand at events like Thailand that everyone pulls together to help one another.

As always we want to thank the event organizers Asian Multi Sports and Entertainment. Best of luck to all the competitors who are getting ready now to compete against the very best in their sport. Jettribe is excited to see the return of PWC racing again in 2021.
