Race Recap - Rounds 5/6 Jettribe Mid-America Series in Hillsdale, KS

Posted by Jettribe Staff on 23rd May 2023

This past weekend the Texas Jettribe team packed up and headed to Hillsdale Lake, Kansas for Rounds 5 & 6 of the Jettribe Mid-America WaterX Championship.

Friday was rainy all day and cold, but Nautiwater still plugged through and got the race setup. Sadly, there was no Junior Stars clinic due to the weather.Saturday and Sunday were beautiful both in weather and location. This was the home turf for the Hillsdale Jackals riding group, so there was a lot of local support, including their fan base.

The different racecourse set up provided some challenges, including a right-hand start and course.
Racers stepped up to the challenge. There was a lot of good energy around the race site, and some individuals sponsored random motos with a $100 prize to whomever could achieve the hole-shot. This provided some extra motivation for the Juniors especially.

It was good to see the upper mid-west racers, some of whom can't always make it down south for the Texas races. There was such positive energy and support amongst this group, which is one reason why the Nautiwater race series is considered by us to be so unique and wonderful, and why Jettribe is so proud to be a part of it.

We were missing some of our regular faces, but we are sure to see them soon at the next round in Paris, Texas June 3-4. This race is expected to be a fun event with a good turnout.A lot of racers are traveling to the area for the IJSBA Junior Nationals in Oklahoma June 8-10.
