Travel Team Friendships - Ben Morris (NZ) Travels to Race with Bailey Cunningham (AU)

Jettribe loves to create travel experiences for our sponsored riders as part of our International Travel Team. Not only do riders learn valuable skills racing at new locations, they also create friendships and connections that last a lifetime. The recent COVID restrictions have hampered efforts for Jettribe to set-up travel this past year, but this is the story of two Jettribe riders that made a trip possible this past July:

Write-up from Eight 1 Racing:

"Was fantastic to have Ben Morris from New Zealand come race in Australia with Bailey Cunningham and the Eight 1 Racing team. Bailey wrote “I met Ben in Thailand when we both raced World Cup for Jettribe, so I knew he was a really good rider and with restrictions banning international travel, I couldn’t travel outside of Australia other than New Zealand. When Ben reached out asking about racing in Australia, I offered him my SuperJet to come race and mum and dad offered him their 1500 Kawasaki as well.  We had Round 5 in Queensland coming up and the plan was for Ben’s to do the shake down, then come race the Queensland State Titles on his SuperJet and have a holiday with his family.  Due to COVID restrictions he was only able to do Round 5, but can’t get back into Australia for State Titles."  Ben got to have a test on Baileys GP Runabout ski on the Saturday practice, and stayed with the team over the weekend.

Ben Morris wrote: “Back home after an awesome weekend away racing in Aus at the QPWC Round 5, coming home with a 1st in ski 1500 and a 2nd for ski lites, Can’t thank @bailey_cunningham81 and his family enough for their support and hospitality can’t wait for the next trip!"

Once COVID restrictions opened up for international travel we hope to be able to offer racing in Australia to other international Jettribe riders moving forward."
